The Lord loves us SO abundantly, even after knowing all of our sins. You would think since we were extended this amazing love, that it would be easy to love others. Sadly, it is not. We get so caught up in what they may have done and create some crazy mental image of them; making them then seem unlovable. But God calls us to love everyone. Crazy right? I mean how in the world are we supposed to love people when they sin against us? When they may be rude and unpleasant? Grace. The Lord continuously shows us grace, accepts us and forgives us of our sins and loves us through it all.
Jesus said, “To love God with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings or sacrifices.” Mark 12:33
We are supposed to love everyone! No matter their age, race, past, ANYTHING. We are to love them all. What they may have done does not take anything away from God’s word. But, not only are we supposed to love them, we are supposed to love and treat them in a way WE would like to be treating; in Luke 6:31 Jesus said, “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.” How are we supposed to do this? Through our Father. It’s only human to react and to hold grudges, so we must not walk in the world, we must walk by spirit. Pray about everything, this is something I struggle with significantly, we must give it all over to God. Pray for patience, selflessness, and most of all love. Pray for the Lord to teach you how to love like Him. Because, without Him we are nothing.
It’s absolutely amazing the way our Father prepares us for new things in life. He places us into seasons of life, may they be seasons of hardship, great joy, or even change, they all are followed by a new season. Something was said about seasons in church yesterday that really made me think. “In the winter when the flowers and trees are bare do they become anxious and scared at the fact that they are bare? Or do they just know that another season is coming and that they will bloom again?” How many times do we get scared and question God and His plans? I know that I am in a season of change right now, God is changing my attitude, my outlook on life, and how I love people; I don’t know what he is preparing me for but I just know it will be something great. We must be like the flowers in the winter and not become worrisome about the coming season; we just need to put all of our faith in our Father and know that he is preparing us to bloom into something amazing and beautiful. In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 the bible says:
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”
Whatever season you’re in right now serves a divine purpose. We must rejoice in the Lord throughout all the seasons. To fully live out our purpose we must go through these hard times. Instead of pulling away from the Lord when it gets tough draw even closer, poor your heart out of him and pray that He will get you through to the next season. He hears your cries out and He will help you. These seasons will make your relationship with God even stronger. You will gain SO much through God to help you in the future if you just trust.
The crazy thing is that although we are changing; God. Never. Does. He is never surprised by our lives and the changes we go through, He has it all planned out. “Praise Jesus for His changeless nature – He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 He loves us continuously! So as we are going though these new times in our lives let us rejoice in the Father’s love and draw even closer to him.
Isn’t it crazy that God has a divine purpose for ALL of us? He possesses such a great love for us that he planned out every single detail of our lives. Every. Single. Detail. When He formed us in the womb he already knew what our plan would be. We all have a purpose. Every single person on this earth has something so special to do that will bring more glory to God. We must give him full control over every aspect of our lives. We must trust Him, and walk by faith instead of sight, even when we may not know what the next step is. Do not give up. The voices in your head spewing lies, saying “it’s not worth it, you can’t do this” and trying to push you down worldly paths? That is simply the enemy trying to intervene on God’s plan. The enemy does not want anyone to even get the slightest taste of their purpose because once you start to taste it you won’t want to give up and you will thirst for more. So when you begin to doubt, don’t give up. When you feel like you cannot do it anymore that’s when you should draw even closer to the Lord.
Pray for Him to help you hear his voice.
Pray for Him to give you the strength to make the next step.
Pray that His will, will be done.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” Proverbs 16:9
I’m praying that someone, somewhere will get something out of this. Thanks for reading!
